18 East and Earth Studies Team Up for “HumanNature” Capsule Collection

On the heels of their successful Nanga capsule release earlier this month, 18 East is back with another collaboration, this time with fellow outdoor clothing brand and environmental advocate Earth Studies. The two brands have joined forces to create a collection that explores the connection between humans and nature, aptly titled “HumanNature.”

Exploring the Connection Between Humans and Nature

The “East Studies” capsule, as described by both brands on Instagram, aims to revisit the relationship between human-intensive techniques and nature-focused processes. The collection features a range of outdoor gear, all dyed using the traditional Rajasthani Dabu method. This process involves dipping clothes in mud and then submerging them in a dye bath once the mud has hardened, resulting in unique patterns and textures.

From Jackets to Pants, the Collection Has You Covered

The standout piece in the collection is the oversized MS-110 ESCEP Jacket, made from organic cotton fleece with a “bark” jacquard weave. The jacket features substantial pocketing, reinforced elbows, and a two-way zipper with pull cords. Other pieces in the collection include the fleece-covered ESCEP Benny Pant and the MP-103 Field Pant, which draws inspiration from brutalist architecture, French workwear, and old spacesuits.
