Brooklyn-based menswear label Science Project, known for its militant minimalism-rooted aesthetic, has just released its latest seasonal collection. Titled “Identity,” the collection continues to establish the brand’s ethos and style.
We had the chance to sit down with Heginz Janvier, the mastermind behind Science Project, a few months ago to discuss the inspiration behind his label. He described “militant minimalism” as an uncompromising approach to minimalism, with a hyper-focus on fundamental values.
This philosophy is evident in the new collection, which features a sleek selection of apparel in mainly monochromatic hues. From puffer jackets to structured jackets, leather sets to pinstriped suiting, the pieces exude a strong and minimalistic vibe. However, there are subtle touches of pattern, such as a camouflage-esque design on one puffer jacket and an all-over Science Project insignia on a sweatsuit set.
Janvier is constantly pushing the boundaries of minimalistic fashion, driven by his belief in simplicity. He explains, “The idea of simplicity resonates with me so much because it reflects who I am: simple, straight to the point, but highly effective.”
The lookbook for the “Identity” collection can be viewed in the gallery above, and the pieces will be available for purchase on Science Project’s official webstore on Friday, November 15 at 11 a.m. ET. Don’t miss out on this latest release from one of the most exciting brands in the fashion scene.
