This season, sportswear retailer JD adds to its library of sneakers with two exclusive iterations of the New Balance ABZORB 2000. Arriving in dual-toned colorways of “Grey/Blue” and “Black/Red,” the latest additions bring a sleek aesthetic to the technical noughties sneaker that subscribes to the retailer’s signature curation of futuristic, running-inspired classics. On the main body, its mesh panels are kept minimal with the respective “Grey” and “Black” tones, making the metallic webbed overlay stand out even further.Underneath its clean-cut upper, the distinctive ABZORB sole – featuring sculptural SBS pods and a layer of shock-absorbing rubber – is highlighted in the aforementioned “Blue” and “Red” hues respectively. These accent colors also adorn the branded NB tongue, creating synergy across the overall design on both versions. In a new Unboxing video, Hypebeast takes a closer look at the two JD exclusive iterations, showcasing the stand-out features from the drop including the translucent shoebox lid and structured sole.
