Let’s talk about drug policy, shall we? Because there’s a little inconsistency that needs to be addressed. You see, the whole “drugs cause psychosis” argument? Yeah, turns out it was never really about protecting the vulnerable. Nope, it was all about justifying the prohibition of a certain substance that threatened certain interests. Shocking, I know.

But think about it. If we were truly concerned about preventing psychosis, wouldn’t we be banning other things that have been linked to it? Like social media, for example. Or those creepy AI chatbots that seem to be taking over the world. And let’s not forget about all the other triggers that can lead to psychosis. Yet, here we are, still demonizing a plant that humans have been using for thousands of years.

It’s almost comical, really. We claim to have the best interests of society at heart, yet we continue to turn a blind eye to the real culprits. It’s like we’re living in some twisted version of reality where logic and reason are thrown out the window in favor of maintaining the status quo.

But hey, at least we can feel good about ourselves for keeping those dangerous drugs off the streets, right? Never mind the fact that people are still suffering from mental illness and addiction, and that our current approach to drug policy only exacerbates these issues.

So let’s cut the crap and start having some real conversations about drug policy. Because until we do, we’ll continue to see this same old song and dance, with the same old players pulling the strings. And that, my friends, is the real tragedy.
