Nike SB Drops New Dunk Low Inspired by San Francisco’s Transit History

Nike is back at it again with another must-have sneaker release. This time, they’re paying homage to the Bay Area’s iconic transit system with the Nike SB Dunk Low “Muni Fast Pass.”

This highly conceptual design takes inspiration from the now-defunct monthly swipe cards used by San Francisco’s Municipal Railway system. These cards were not only a means of transportation, but also a symbol of the city’s skate culture, shuttling skaters to some of the most iconic spots in the area.

The shoe features a bold split-color design, with a combination of Safety Orange and Baroque Brown suede on one rumored colorway, and Lightning Yellow and Denim Turquoise on another. The design is a direct nod to the two-toned appearance of the old paper Fast Pass cards, which changed colors monthly to prevent fraud.

But the transit theme doesn’t stop there. The shoe also boasts a reflective silver Swoosh outlined in black, mimicking the silver strip found on the physical passes. Rumors suggest that there may be up to twelve different colorways in this pack, with one dropping each month of 2026, recreating a full year’s worth of passes.

The Nike SB Dunk Low “Muni Fast Pass” is a unique fusion of street culture and local utility, offering a nostalgic piece of San Francisco’s urban landscape to the global skate community. Keep an eye out for this premium pack, set to start rolling out in Spring 2026 at select local skate shops. Don’t miss your chance to snag a piece of Bay Area history.
