Off-White™ Takes Over New York High School Rooftop for “Pop Romance” Spring 2026 Show

On a sunny Friday afternoon, the rooftop basketball court at New York’s New Design High School was transformed into a vibrant runway by Off-White™ for its Spring 2026 show, aptly titled “Pop Romance.” The venue was adorned with colorful murals inspired by the five boroughs of New York City, paying homage to the late founder Virgil Abloh’s signature graffiti style. Local artists Daze, Lady Pink, Mast, and CES were responsible for the eye-catching artwork.

Designer Ib Kamara’s latest collection strutted down the runway amidst the lively backdrop, creating a kaleidoscopic effect. This season, Kamara celebrated the immense influence of Black culture on pop culture, drawing inspiration from the ‘70s when African creatives made their mark in disco, hip-hop, and streetwear, fueled by their unwavering determination.

“Invention as resistance, personal expression as a means of survival,” Kamara wrote in his show notes. “There is a vitalistic force to this urge which is forever empowering. This collection is charged with that same energy and spirit, but with a sense of urgency and presence that is quintessentially NYC.”

The collection featured flared and sheer satin pieces, with prismatic tailoring adding an angular touch to most looks. The iconic Off-White™ varsity jackets made an appearance, perfectly fitting the academic setting. The show also gave a sneak peek of a collaboration with the New York Liberty, with the team’s mascot Ellie the Elephant sitting front row and recording the show.

“In reconnecting to the roots of black culture in the city, a leap forward happens putting romance where pop is,” Kamara concluded. Take a look at the Spring 2026 collection in the gallery above.
