adidas Becomes Official Partner of Audi Formula 1 Team

Jack Carlson, the founder of the popular prep-wear brand Rowing Blazers, has recently been appointed as the new creative director and president of J. Press, a renowned Ivy League clothier. With a background in archaeology and writing, Carlson is the perfect fit to lead the brand, which was originally founded at Yale University in 1902. This exciting news marks a significant step for J. Press, as Carlson’s debut collection was showcased at New York Fashion Week, marking the brand’s first time participating in the event. His vision for the brand includes honoring its rich heritage while bringing a modern touch, with the ultimate goal of expanding the company tenfold by 2030 and opening new store locations across the US.

Meanwhile, designer Peter Do has launched a new brand called PD-168, which offers a more affordable collection of all-black essentials. The brand name, which stands for “168 hours in a 7-day week,” reflects the versatility of the garments. The debut collection features only three machine-washable fabrics: cotton terry, supple jersey, and Japanese “liquid satin.” The pieces are defined by their sleek all-black color scheme, with a white stripe as the only accent. The collection, which includes both basics and tailored pieces, is now available for pre-order on the brand’s official website.

In other fashion news, Acne Studios has opened its new headquarters in a former 1930s laboratory on Rue des Petites Écuries in Paris. The space, designed by creative director Jonny Johansson and Swedish design studio Halleroed, combines the building’s historic architecture with modern elements. The headquarters features original details such as gold-painted moldings and parquet flooring, along with new additions like a large pink vinyl sofa by Max Lamb and a raw concrete showroom. This design perfectly balances the building’s past with a fresh, contemporary energy.

Lastly, adidas has announced a new partnership with the future Audi Formula 1 team, becoming its official apparel partner. This collaboration will result in a line of high-performance and stylish garments that blend the identities of both brands. Executives from both companies have expressed their excitement for this partnership, with Audi CEO Gernot Döllner and adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden highlighting their shared values of excellence and innovation. The first collection from this collaboration is set to be released before the 2026 racing season, promising to bring a new level of style and technical gear to the world of Formula 1.
