Fifty years. Five decades. Half a century. That’s how long the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has been around, folks. And let me tell you, their track record is not exactly something to brag about.
I mean, seriously, have you seen the state of our country? The War on Drugs? More like the War on Common Sense. The DEA has been at the forefront of this so-called “war” and let me tell you, they’ve lost. Big time.
But that’s not even the worst part. Oh no, my friends. The DEA has also overseen the rise of the deadliest overdose crisis in American history. Yeah, you heard me right. The deadliest. And who’s to blame for this? You guessed it, the DEA.
And let’s not forget about the money. Oh, the money. Hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars have been poured into this failed “war” and what do we have to show for it? Overcrowded prisons and destroyed communities. Sounds like a great investment, right?
But hey, at least the DEA can say they’ve been consistent. Consistently failing, that is. And while they may be blushing with shame, the rest of us are just shaking our heads in disbelief.
So here’s to you, DEA. Fifty years of existence and all you’ve managed to do is make a mess of things. Bravo.
