Nike Honors Gianna Bryant with New Mambacita Jersey Collection
After the recent celebration of Kobe Bryant’s legacy on Mamba Day, Nike is continuing to pay tribute to the late basketball legend and his daughter, Gianna Bryant. On what would have been Gigi’s 19th birthday, May 1st, the Swoosh has released a new capsule collection featuring Mambacita jerseys.
In a bittersweet moment, Nike is honoring Gianna with her own set of home and away jerseys. These jerseys were created in anticipation of her future success on the basketball court, potentially even winning the NCAA championships at UConn. The black and white jerseys feature the iconic Mamba logo on the front, along with Gigi’s number 2 and name on the front and back.
The “Mambacita” jerseys will be released alongside the Kobe 9 Protro EM “Mambacita” on May 1st, and will be available for purchase online. Each jersey will retail for $120 USD, with a portion of the proceeds going towards the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation.
